Bandwidth exceeds limit? Whose proplem is this? What are the Admins. of this site doing that this is happening almost every month. Do we need more money to run this site?
The admins aren't doing anything "wrong", per se. It's the volume of users accessing the site that is consuming all of the allocated bandwidth. Getting more bandwidth allocated or reducing current bandwidth use are the only options and getting more bandwidth is the only option that allows for the growth of the forum. That costs money, but we don't know how much it will cost.

All of this is being and has been discussed at length in the "Discussion about AC" forum.

Peace...

... cut all of those info people put under thir names when they post. You know what the "what tanks i've got", "what I am doing", "what fish I have/am getting." That's all crap too, people make a long list of all what they have. ....

I take it you are refering to signatures (which you have one by the way). Almost all of that is text, and has very little effect on bandwidth usage.

Or maybe charge a tiny (say $4 dollar fee per month) to use the forum? That would solve everything. Keep out all the "crap" posters, double user name users (I.E. a lot of the trolls), people that are just looking in for an hour or so and then never coming back, and add capital to the running of the site.

What do you think of that?

Sorry, no way in heck am I paying for a forum. I haven't every paid for one yet, nor will I ever. I will and have given donations to sites, and would gladly give a donation to this one to keep it alive, and to keep from seeing the stupid bandwidth exceded message every month.

yea , I'm not paying for forums either. I just see a forum as a place where people exchange their ideas and thoughts. Its a great place for information, Hope it stays this way :)

yeah, I agree, making it a pay-for site might give the wrong message. I don't think a lot of people would be here if it were a charging site.
But, making it a pay-for site just might keep the prans away. Not that I think it should be a pay-for site, just stating an opinion.

Although "purple" is more appealing than eggplant, what would we call white eggplants? A rose is a rose....

Don't forget to boil and mash your swede!

The first time I had to type "boil swede" (even though it wasn't capitalized) I just about choked. A swede (I found out) is a rutabaga. The name rutabaga comes from the Swedish rotabagge, which is why it's also called a swede.

I love Rutabaga.YUM!
