I bought a used aquarium and with it came a variety of miscellaneous products and equipment. Included were 2 chemicals I'm unfamiliar with:
1) Rid*Ich by Kordon - I'm thinking that even if this isn't the best chemical for treating disease, it's probably fine for the fish. If not, though, I'd love to know. Also, does it have a shelf life? I've no idea how long this tank sat unused.
2) Algae Destroyer Advanced - It says it can control algae while not harming fish or plants but somehow that feels illogical to me. I want plants so this one makes me leery but I'm not in the habit of tossing things out that may be useful without knowing more about them first.
