They seem pretty reasonable, especially for their 12 packs for $99. You may find cheaper places online but then you have to account shipping into the equasion. Always best to do your research, find exactly what you want then seach online stores for their prices and compare them to you lfs and see where ya get the bestd eal. Another benefit of getting them locally is of course being able to hand pick the ones you want as opposed to having them selected for you.

also, some online vendors give great deals if you buy a certain amount...

Dont limit yerself!!! if you lived close to me id GIVE you a frag. Other reefers are always willing to help out a newb or new tank!!

craigslist turns up good stuff sometimes too.

40-50 bucks on shipping is too much IMO, unless its like uber special

yeah. they do haver good prices if color and such is all yoru are looking for. for example, dont expect to buy a superman form there and sell for the same amount that a tubbs original is getting...
but for the stuff, they do have nice prices. a lot of people in my reef club have taken trips down there.

try local reef clubs man, practically the same prices, no shipping

I'm not paying shipping :) They're located down the road from me (like fifteen miles), so I'd pick them up. I'm just wondering about the fairness of their straight up pricing. That's why I'd buy from there, otherwise, I'd keep looking.

How do I find a local reef club? I'm guessing I'd have to drive even further for one of those since I live in a small area. By the time I figure in gas at $3 a gallon, I might as well just shop here, eh?

very generous offer. I'll remember that if I ever happen to be driving through Boulder ;)

Oh, I don't need anything fancy or rare, I just want something I can't kill too easily ;) I know this store has a good rep because the guy I bought the tank from mentioned it, but I've just finally located it (thanks to eBay)

And being able to "see" them live and in person is helpful, because things seem to look so different in pictures!

Thanks for the responses!

what town/state are you from? if you live near there, i would imagine it is long island? i believe they are located there.... (wondering to locate you your local reef club)

no shipping, yea, thats a great deal.

i dont know if i can tell you strait out how to locate the best local reef clubs so PM. me:huh:

Maryland, the store is located in Mardela Springs (on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, right between the ocean and the Chesapeake Bay).

lol

Those prices are great, actually. $10 for ANY coral at a LFS is a good deal.

You could get it cheaper from local clubs, and then also meet some good people.

But, I'd go pick up that $15 ric and those cloves in a heartbeat if I were you. ;)
