Arowana help

Clean is slowly, but steadily. 15% and a little muck removal each time. Eventually you might be able to get the fish to take pellets, but it will take some training. Feeding smelt and shrimp 3-4X a week would be better IMO.
If it wont take the prepared foods drop a feeder in the same spot for a few days in a row. Then start throwing some smelt in the mix. he should hit it fast enough that he doesn't know it's not a feeder.

The tank and filtration is fine, you could get away with less flow even. Make sure that the biomedia isnt clogged with crap too.

Agreed... I would take some Crickets and some Superworms with you As well :)

or look for freeze-dried shrimp/krill. kinda pricey, but you might be able to find a small cheaper container.

sadly it died before i was able to service the aquarium...the Dr was wishy washy and when he finally decided it was when the fish was dead.....so i donated the fish to my collage today and then will be redoing the entire aquarium this weekend and get it cycling...it was kinda ironic...the goldfish were eating the arowana....killed me though...i wish i had been able to get the yes before it died...

That really sucks. I hate seeing any animal neglected. I know he was your business but I would have been really stern with him right up front and got it done asap. I can't even stand seeing people buy a tank and fish at the same time. I will always take my time to explain as much as they are willing to listen to about cycling and stuff. I feel bad for you having to stand by and watch that fish die.
