Arowana help

Sorry man. You were going in the right direction with all this but it was out of your hands.

I've picked up 2 tanks lately and both seem like the same end game. Loss of intrest, tank maintainence dwindles, fish die. I really wish there were fish rescue resources in place like there are for dogs and cats.

there are its called craigslist there are so many people that dont want to take care of their fish, one person I emailed said that he had recently divorced his wife and wanted nothing that reminded him of her so he was selling the fish tank fish and all. I think it was SW. But still people have all kinds of reasons not to take care of animals they purchase, No one ever has put a gun to the back of my head and demanded I take care of fish aquariums people tend to forget that.

Sorry it didn't turn out well for the aro. You obviously did the best you could.

woulda told him straight up...but hes also the main source of income for uncles contracting business...couldn't medal in there...thx for the concerns guys makes me feel better. my collage was glad to get the fish as a specimen though so it lives on in a different way....will teach future scientists.

SIGH..... that's so sad.... it makes me feel sooo good that I rescued that goldfish tank awhile back.

reminds me there are still goldfish in there...ugh...tomorrows gona be a long daay...but hey cant complain on the mula
lol yeah.

so... gonna rescue the CAE or just gonna care for his tank? I once did that... thats how I got my 25G.

well it was a nightmare but its almost ready for the new gravel. it had 2 inches of Mexican pebbles and then 3 inches of crushed coral under ether from when it was saltwater. i drained it fixed the sump and plumbing and emptied it all. only thing left is clear water and feeder fish that survived. i got tons of cuts and scrapes and so forth but it looks much better there as about 2 inches of sludge in the tan had to fill and drain it over 4 times. will redo it with fake plants and all the proper equipment and auto feeders so the fish do well. its going to be angels and other bigger fish, he wants small tetra...what u guys think ive seen big angels eat glowlights and neons.
also the tank is 200 gallons with a 50 gallon sump and the auto topper is a bit off other wise it is great. was hard to work on dude to it being built into the wall and the old dumpbucket still bolted in there but ill take some pics of it and make a new thread .
