Any suggestions on how one would go about doing this? I was thinking maybe some type of aquarium safe marine epoxy, but I don't know if that exists.

hmm i have seen some epoxy that is specifically for use in aquariums but i cnat for the life of me find a link

it comes in 2 colous coral pink for marine and slate grey for freshwater

it cures in mins too

will keep looking for the link for u

some type of glue is really the only option due to the orientation and shape of the pieces of wood. I was thinking of trying silicone but I wasn't sure if it'd stick to wood real well.

If you can find that link I'd be very grateful :)

I tried silicon once, and it wouldnt stick. Use super glue. Worked for me!

I used super glue thats meant for wood or porous surfaces. Works pretty well. Let it cure for a day though

Super glue stablized with fishing line is my suggestion as well- I read it somewhere and I agree- if reefers trust it in their tanks, I'll trust it in mine, and it cures in water- they use it to secure frags- get the gel cyanoacrylate type though. I'd stay away from screws, unless they were completely non-reactive, as lot of coatings on screws can be toxic. Maybe Stainless Steel would be alright.
