So if anybody has this product please tell me how to choose the quantity. (or you can try to guess how.)

Can anyone help me!!!!!!!!!!!! Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't seen that particular model (I have an older Nutramatic that looks quite a bit different), but just about every feeder with that sort of rotating drum has an adjustable opening. The drum makes a complete rotation at every feeder and there should be something that lets you adjust the aperture from which the food falls. I can't see well enough how it is made to be more specific.

Have you checked Hagen's website to see if they have instructions?

I have that model. You control the food by moving the white gate up and down. I find it works best if the food is slightly crushed so it doesn't get stuck when the gate is on a lower setting. The drum will only rotate every 12 hours and you can't make it rotate by yourself. But you can just spin the whole thing around and see how much food falls out. Then figure out how much you will want to feed your fish in a 24 hour period and make the gate setting put about 1/2 that amount out (as it feeds every 12 hours). Since you are on vacation i suggest feeding a minimal amount to help prevent polluting the water.

There is a white slider that you can adjust the amount of food being discharged. What you do is, load the drum with food and move the slider mid way. Now put in the batteries and the feeder will do its first rotation. Keep the feeder on the table and see how much food is discharged. If you're happy with the amount of food then you are set; if not, just adjust the slider, take out the batteries and then re-insert the batteries again for it to do another rotation.

Hope this helps.

I've put the food in it and then the batteries and nothing happened

I personaly don't like the feeders because I think it is fun to feed fish by hand and that is the only time you can truely interact with them.

Yes, that is supposed to happen. I wish they would add instructions but they don't. Leave the batteries in and 12 hours later the thing will turn around. I assumed it would always be turning but it does so in a sharp swift motion and then clicks back. I fisrt just set mine over a white piece of paper with some food in it and added the batteries. Check back after 12 hours and you should see food on the paper.

Thanx TKOS
