Aw man...I really want this!

No filter. But for a 90 gallon tank, stand and light, that seems like a good deal.

I don't want to rain on your parade, BUT your parents said NO!!!!

They may have reasons that they are not telling you...

Remember it is THEIR house.

True. But I don't think they'll care if I put it in the basement. They just wouldn't want it up and running in their house. In the basement, it'll be no different than a couple of big ol' boxes.

Maybe they don't want to pay the extra utilities.

You're too late I just picked this up and took it home... it is fantastic!
/kidding ;)

Good luck convincing your parents! May you have more success than my 5 y/o son has had in convincing his parents for his own tank.

Maybe this will make you feel better?

It doesn't look like that great of a deal to me. Esspecially for one thats going to sit around unused for a while.

Something much better will come around while your waiting for a place to actually set one up. :)

Concur, as a rule of thumb try are target a tank that is priced closer to $1 a gallon especially if they look used with scale and stains. If your truly serious, have the cash and ready to buy, I would email make him an offer letting him know politely that if he doesn't sell the tank, you will buy it on the spot for $140 with the stand or $90 without the stand. Eventually someone always accepts an offer like this, its happen to me twice.
