Axolotl Babies: Journal with Photos

Photo & identification update..

Also, these plants were in coldwater at the store, and coldwater now. So, they can't be tropical plants. These may just be plants that they have ordered without the name known, because they have all of their tropical plants named.

Okay, here is that yellow-green plant:

.. and here is the red-green plant, these are really hard to identify, so don't bother if you don't want to.. :D

Also, I thought that I'd let you know that there is only 3 of the 9 white cloud mountain minnows left, so I put them in a separator for now, and I may set up a special 10-20g coldwater tank for them, and get some danios or other mini-coldwater fish :)

OMG, I love these guys! The pictures of the eggs are very interesting thanks for posting.

Hm. those plants have me stumped. Silly kiwi plants again? I kid, I kid! I like the light green one but it really isn't bacopa monnieri.

Hang on - perhaps these were grown emersed. That being said, they may start to melt & change leaf structure in your tank. Give it a few weeks... patience is a virtue!

:duh: Yeah I know I'm not very helpful :duh: sorry! :)

What do you mean you aren't helpful? You're always the first to post on my 'help wanted' threads!

Hahah I guess it could be a random kiwi one, in that case I wasted my money when I could have gone to a river!! Lol, but I'm not sure if/how it was grown emersed, it would have been in that tank at the LFS for a long-ish time, every time I go there (atleast twice a week.. Lol, what an addict :p:) it doesn't look like anyone has bought any, but it is a really cool plant!

Oh, bacopa monnieri looks sort-of like another one that I bought, I'll post some photos soon... Just going to get some stuff (including bloodworms for the baby axies lol.. Back to the LFS!) Oh yeah, I could just ask while I'm there... But they most likely won't know.

Yep, I can wait. What about the other plant? Any ideas?
Identifying species of plants/fish seems to be your other hobby! Lol, but if you get any ideas, they're always appreciated!

Ok - So I went to the LFS tonight, got some bloodworms, and asked a worker there. He was quite smart, actually :] He went and grabbed a plant species book, and told me that the redish-green plant was most likely Ludwigia Ovalis, which I agreed. What do you guys think?

And he said that the yellow-green plant is a species of Hydrocotyle but he wasn't sure.

Also, I saw a new fish there, it was name ______ Panchax. When I got home, I googled it and it come up with killifish. I know nothing about killifish, but this one was quite cool looking, it was sort of creamy coloured, but had a slight yellow tinge. It hung out around the top of the tank with some others of its kind. If anyone has any info on this could you please let me know. Thanks.

:]

Ok, I've moved the 3 baby axies to the parents tank, in a separating net thing.
I thought that the 7g was too big for just the 3 that are there, only 3 left, as you probably know, and I'm fine with it... Not as much responsibility :D

And...... Look out for updates on my 7g's new thread, 7 Gallon: Coldwater Tank Journal with Photos

Thanks.
