baby mosquito larvae?

ok so pleaseeeee explain to me the difference other than what i already stated.

Ok, here's some logic for starters. If two things differ they are NOT the same...:screwy: You yourself said they differed, put two and two together. Why can't you just except that? They are not the same thing. Sheesh. I'm not going to sit here and explain something so obvious. Just because humans and chimps share commonalities in genetic code are they the same thing? No, point in continuing this as has nothing to do with the OP's post. Thank you, come again. :headbang2:

sammie,
you know they are NOT the same
as do I.
the life cycles of the two differ considerably. for one the mosquito female needs blood to complete the cycle(eggs)
the midge differ from mosquitoes in that the wings are not scaled and the mouthparts are short and not adapted for biting.
calling a midge a mosquito is the same as calling an apple an orange.

ok so you obiously don't know the difference between the two.:liar:

unless we're entomomologists, im pretty sure most people don't know what a midge is, so i was generalizing.

I feed my fish mosquito larvae daily and hatch the eggs I find. its almost like a seperate hobby. when they develop into mosquitos, I just feed them to my fish. mosquito larvae are my favorite fish food, but to get back on my original topic, does anyone else hatch baby mosquito larvae for their fish or am I crazy for doing it?
