Bangaii being out-competed

marinating them in hopes that they injest some of the vitamin before feeding. Grins pointed out the other day that some people are attributing a nutrient spike in their tank to Selcon use. I personally haven't seen this in my own but then I have a lot of nutrient export. I just add the selcon to the food, let it soak and feed with a turkey baster.
What you can do if you are scared about increased nutrients in your water column is let them soak in the Selcon and then drain off the excess water by using either a shrimp net if they are large enough, or two coffee filters if they are small and then just put the live food into your aquarium.

I should have been more clear when I mentioned that the other day. It comes from using it in excess. If you use a reasonable amount I'd think you'd be fine.
So I've got him/her onto frozen foods now and all the troubles I was having with him/her eating have ended. Thank you all for your help.
Now on to the new problem. I put him/her into the display and there was immediately tension between him/her and the one in the diplay which I believe is a male. My hope was that I could get them to mate but It doesn't look like that is going to happen. Actually my hopes of breeding Bangaiis is pretty much out the window as it seems next to impossible to accurately sex these fish. I'm assuming that the fighting is due to both the fished I have being male or female. I don't know for sure. Maybe it is a size issue too. The one in the display is considerably bigger than the one i tried to put in.
I managed to take the little one out of the display. If I left him/her in there another day I'm pretty sure it would be dead by now. Right now it is in my old 10g with a clown goby. It seems fine for now...eating an whatnot.
Is there anything I can do? Should I maybe get another bangaii and introduce two into the diplay instead of just one? Or should trade in both of the ones that I have for three or four others in hopes that there would be a pair?

I don't have Bangaii's but I would think the aggression is probably due to the separate introduction periods and may disappear after some time.. As far as trying to get a breeding pair, the only way I know of doing this is introducing a small school and hoping for the best as they grow into adulthood..
But even that isn't sure fire in that you could get a whole school of males..
I'm going through something with my LPS and their supplier.. I decided to get a female Lyrtail for my male but their supplier can't tell the difference in sex which is easier with this breed. In two orders they have ordered 1 male and 5 females and have gotten the exact opposite.. Its actually quite commical watching the lady I'm working with get so exasperated..
