DAVIDFBT
Extinct? Since when?
You can observe them closely when you hear the barking noises to see who's a male and who's a female. When they croak, their sides puff up and vibrate when you hear it. Males usually make a loudish noise that sounds like what you said, a small dog barking. When they are in "Wrestling" mode, the male will be behind and he will be making a chittering sound that usually last 2-3 seconds over and over.
If you have them calling in the actual the actual vivarium, then that means that the male wants to mate, but if the female tries to run away, then that usually means that she is not old enough to start mating. I have 3 FBTs too and when the male tries to grasp any of the 2 females, they end up jumping into the water to avoid the male.
How long have you had these frogs, and also can you give us some pictures of the actual vivarium?
I forgot to add that there is a very slim chance that you'll get eggs anytime soon. My FBTs have been trying for about 2 years and I got nothing.
