BCS Bowl game predictions

Did you not read on CNN that Reggie Bush walks on water? Come now, I thought you were an informed fan! LOL

The Orange bowl was indeed a nail biter. FSU put up more of a fight than I expected, but the end result was pre-destined. PSU was the superior team, and in the end, that showed. Ya think Bowden is on the phone recruiting kickers this morning? Like yourself, I make it a point to hate all teams from Florida with a passion. I wish Iowa had pulled out a win, then the state of Florida would have been 0-3 in the bowls.. I guess 1-2 is decent enough..

What a heck of a game! Geez, up late biting my nails the past two nights. WTG, PSU.

And I'm so glad Texas won. Not a fan of theirs, but as long as they beat USC. Both quaterbacks played a helluva game. I was impressed with their performance. And for Texas to shut down USC in the forth quater and gain control of the ball, shortly after getting a touchdown, then to win it...I was super impressed with Mr. Young.

I was not impressed, however, with USC quarterback (Can't think of his name!) at the end of the game, when interviewed he said, "We're the better team. They just made good plays". What a baby! Young played an incredible game, as did that quarterback. Go cry in a towel...baby!

I'm so happy to have been wrong. I thought USC would run away with it, but I'm very glad they didn't. Vince Young is, without a doubt, the most amazing QB I've ever watched. Everyone is saying Bush is the prize in the draft, but I think they're wrong. Why draft Bush OR Leinart? Just draft Young and get BOTH in one player. They missed on the Heisman award this year, Vince Young is THE man. If he declares for the draft, the Texans would be fools to pass that kid up. Players like that are what NFL dynasties are made of. Credit to the Texas O-line though. Without them, Vince would have zero passing yards. He'd would have had 500+ scrambling yards, but that's beside the point lol

Agreed on Leinart's comments. Losing well is equally important to winning well, and he showed me that he has zero sportsmanship. I understand he was in a very unfamilar position, and probably in shock over losing, but he showed no class. Boo Matt, boo..

Thanks, Birdy, I thought it was Leinart.

You're correct about Texas' O-line. They did an awesome job blocking and opening up holes for Young. In a way, I'm glad to hear he plans on playing another year of college (last I knew).

But yeah, after Leinart's comment, I looked at my husband on commented on the sportsmanship of the kid. He just couldn't accept that Young pulled an amazing feat by coming back in the final minutes of the game. Gosh! I was so impressed. Didn't think they would do it.

And was I the only one that got sick of them constantly pointing out where Bush was? That was annoying.

Nope, that did get old. The guy didn't do jack in the game compared to some others, like #21 for example. That guy got the ball every down it seemed! Bush was, at best, a distraction. They were double teaming him at first, which left holes for the other guy. But they soon saw they didn't have to do that. Bush = way overrated based on what I saw him do lastnight.

I'm Happy, and definately looking forward to the Texas Ohio State game next year.

It would have been nice if Texas had blown them out and helped a few other teams leap frog the rankings. it will be interesting to see how they all end up ranked with that game and the PSU game being so close.
It will also be nice to quit hearing about USC for a while. I remember back in 2000, all you ever heard about was Miami, and it stayed that way for several months after OSU beat them. I'm sure we'll still hear about USC and Bush for a little while yet but eventually it will go away. If young stays at texas he will be the talk of the nation next year, I'd rather have that than a west coast team I guess.

I'm an OSU fan as well and if Mr. Young stays for another year I am most definitely not looking forward to the Texas/OSU game next year. That could be bad. We lose a good chunk of our defense. But hey, that's why they play the games. You never know. :hang:

Anyway, can't wait until the "other" football season is over and my Yankees take the field again. Go Yanks!!!!! :D

But is Troy Smith back next year? I can't recall if he's a senior or not. He's a running QB too. Though I will say, Young is faster.

Smith should be back, as will most of our recievers, and our tailbacks. NExt year we will have a better running game than we've had since 2000 with the juvenile delinquent. We will lose Nick Mangold from the center position which will hurt, and we lose a little on our defense, but Ohio state is well known for rebuilding a solid defense. There will not be another AJ Hawk I'm sure, but we'll be solid as ever. We still have Mike D'Andrea who was touted as being better than AJ Hawk when the two were recruited. Mike had some serious injury issues and was granted an extra year of eligiability so he could be a big help if he stays healthy and plays like he used to. Someone will step up, Ohio state always has the defense to get the job done. And while I like Troy Smith and think he is a great QB he is not yet and probably never will be in the same league as Vince Young.
