Tom -
When first putting everything in and planting it, did u actually climb into the tank to do it?
Yes, I float

The owner hangs "Bat style".
I'd rather get in with 2ft of water, and raise my head up a tad, peer down and manuver that way. It's relaxing to work that way vs crouched over, or with a headache and all the blood going to your head Bat Style(okay, for fairly quick planting or and pruning).
You have to be careful, "suiyru" stone are very shape, and the plants are very soft and get mashed if you step on them.
The owner only allows me inside the tank. I guess it is because I've never hurt or destroyed anything and move 200-300lb objects around and gotten them stabilized etc, not easy work. Also, such objects are much lighter in 2ft of water.
My home tanks are all 24" tall stand, and 24" tall tanks, which allows me unfrettered access to any point in my tanks without bending over, and I have open tops exclusively, so there's no lighting, bulky hoods etc.
My easier to garden.
This tank is huge challenge, the most challenging I've done as far as planting.
But now the client has seen the wisdom of slower growth since he's spent a lot of time on it:grinyes:
You can take my advice or learn the hard way.
But we all want to try things when we first start out and see for ourselves........
Wisened eyes are the clearest.
Yes, with the labor, the tank is likely more than a house, so is Amano's home tank. When I build my own house, the center will be a garden much like the Zoo/Public aquarium type layout, nothing as large as either of these giant tanks, rather, a series of interconnected systems within an easy to care for natural garden. The house, living space will surround this garden/aquarium.
Amano and this tank have a different goal than myself.
This/ADA is/are their goals.
Also, Amano is able to care for his tank at his home, this client and my remote location from it are not as skilled/have goal trade offs.
Regards,
Tom Barr
