I do not think the $$$ is like what many here consider "a lot".
I use to think 3.99 for a pictus cat was a lot.
2 week's worth of allowance and chores.
Today? It's chump change.
It depends on one's perspective really.

I have clients that spend 10K$ on one Koi fish.....
I'm not interested in losing any of those needless to say:)
You get fired real fast.

But yes, if you live in the SoCal region, join and come.
The tank is an on going project, so it'll get better as the cleint gets better and learns to fine tunes things more.
I'll stop down and rework things here and there as need be and when I have other clients in the area.

If anyone is interested in huge pieces of driftwood, ADA AS, custom ADA like tanks with no center bracing etc, I have contacts there for such products.

I am working to have a company there carry the ADA line, but more importantly, they know how to use and set such tanks up.
I've worked with many folks over the years, I know a good person when I see them and this guy is very good.

Scape may also have me come down and give a specific talk of interest also.
I do many general talks, but I can do them on nothing but Nitrogen or P, or K, or Ca, or CO2, or light etc. Whatever is the group's main interest.

i think its great to find a group around you. there are a couple around me and i have nothing but good things to say about them.

Now it's your job to rope a few more victims to return the favor:-)

ok not sure how much Tom gets back on here. from what i know the owner really likes to handle the tank his self. my understanding is unless something comes up Tom has no reasons to go back and would have to get the owner to send him pics.

i could be 100% wrong but this is what i think is going on so far.

To think I went to UC Davis and never met Tom. What a bummer. Even worked at the Aquaculture facilities, although there were no plants there anyways...
