So today I found a few dead feeder guppies in my belonesox tank. I swished around the mass of java moss in the middle to get out more possible dead bodys and I came across a bunch of little pike/pipefish looking creatures.

I have belonesox belizanus and "feeder guppies" (whatever they caught in south america that resembled a guppy) so I am certain it is my belonesox's fry.

I moved five or six of them into my guppy tank. Hopefully a few will survive off of new born guppies from my large guppies. And a few may eat eachother. Tomorrow I am going to go get live brine shrimp and guppy fry for them.

I tried to take some pictures, but it's difficult in a 20g lol.

I am not sure if I am going to have to wait a batch or not before I ship them out. I wasn't expecting fry this fast. I put some of them in with my guppies to eat the fry, and I left some in that tank. There are guppies and mosquito fish in the main belonesox tank so hopefully that half could also survive off of fry. I also got some live BBS to feed them. If they get cannibalistic or just die down to 2 or 3 I will have to wait until I get some more fry.

I am definitely keeping you in mind though so as soon as possible I will sell you the belonesox!

those fry are very difficult to raise. also, they give birth to over 30 fry usually. they are sensitive to water and need to be fed a lot (can be difficult to water quality). they also eat small mosquito larvae and bloodworms. just keep up water changes.

are these legal in CA cause those are some cool looking fish
