those fry are very difficult to raise. also, they give birth to over 30 fry usually. they are sensitive to water and need to be fed a lot (can be difficult to water quality). they also eat small mosquito larvae and bloodworms. just keep up water changes.
I am not sure exactly on how many I got. The tank was really well planted and a few tried to dig themselves in the gravel and some were surely eaten.
Right now I got the last survivor in a 5g by himself.
I was feeding him live BBS that I begged my LFS for, then I weaned him onto frozen BBS. I also bought a ton of mosquito fish and I dumped in like 8 one day old fry for him to eat.
I have been doing 20% water changes every day, but I was sick the past two days so I haven't done any. I am going to do one tonight though.
