Well I'm really just looking for the most cost effective way... My soon to be sister in law is a big fish lover and she has already directed me to an affiliated site (liveaquaria), which is awesome btw, and the veil bettas are only 1.99 if you buy 6 or more! I told her my plan today w/the bettas and since she's a baller, haha, she's agreed to fund the filters!! woot woot!!
Anyways, the bettas at 1.99 are spectacular but teh shipping is more expensive than the fish! I suppose it's still cheaper than buying them at 5.75 (local petland price) a pop but I was hoping to find a comparable price (1.99-2.99 range) locally to save on shipping costs...I assumed i can get that from a breeder but i guess no one breeds veils anymore?
Alas, it seems i'll just have to buy from a chain. I will def look into indpendent shops though...that's a good idea.
