Bettas......

I got Tater (my betta) last November. It was the day after my root canal :sick: and I'd been looking at pics of bettas online off & on for the previous couple of weeks. I had to go into Walmart for something, and saw him in his little cup ... he looked as miserable as I felt, so I took him home, gave him the run of a 2.5g tank that was already up and running, and have not regretted a single moment. Loves to eat from my fingers, darts across the tank when I wave at him, just such a cool little guy.

The reason he's in a 5g on my desktop now is that I'd spend so much time staring at him in the 2.5g that it interfered with work :)

Given the space, I think I'd have several bettas.

I really want to put a betta or two near my computer... Maybe I should sub divide a 5g...

Anyway, I just divided a 10gal into thirds (Thanks to EMG!) and these are the future occupants!

I left the cups open for an hour or so while I was busy around the house. I guess bettas are opportunists. Such a pitty, that was a really pretty, personable fish.

I wish I still had her. :( Finding an equally beautiful fish will be quite the challange.
 
wasnt it a male??? not a female!? im getting another betta soon i have a sudden urge to buy a new male.. put him in my betta vase, with some pretty gravel and plants...
