Black Skirt Lost it's Tail!

Okay. I've got $25 to spend now, so unless that medicine is way expensive I'll be able to give them some over the weekend.

Just because you don't see the symptoms does not mean it to be gone. Follow the direction on the box to the letter. Don't take short-cuts or stop early. Run a full treatment to be sure of fish being free from the bacterial infection. Also maintain steady temps in the tank.

I shall, once I get the medicine. Hey, anyone know how much the medicine will cost?

For Maracyn I and II, enough to treat them all in a 10 or 20G? About $20 after tax most places. $9 or so a box.

okay, thanks! It's a 10gal tank, but it will temporarily be holding all the stock for the full size 30gal long, so I think I'll just treat everybody with it while the 30gal long cycles. Course, I'll be on top of the WCs big time, and have a filter rated for a 50gal tank on it, so I do not think it will be "overstocked" so long as I keep it temporary.

QUESTION: How will this medicine affect any inverts i have? 2 Mystery snails and a number of smaller pest snails.

Not sure if maracyn is invert safe. It should say on the package. If it's not, pull them out and put them in a tupperware for a few days or something, just change water daily. They'll be fine.
