Is your water level completly full, or does it have a 2-5" water line for air?
 
My Water Level Is Completely Full, Doesnt Seem To Have A Problem With It At All,
 
Right now, I have a freshwater tank with 6 goldfish, 1 red claw crab, 1 gold mystery snail, and 3 ghost shrimps.

If I add a crayfish, would they all get along?

He lives peacefully with Goldie: Goldie

These guys live great together. As long as Zoidberg is well fed, he doesnt so much as look at Goldie. I keep him well fed by feeding him daily, as well as keeping some ghost shrimp in the tank for snacks/to eat the algae. Turns out Goldie eats them more than he does. In fact, I dont think he's ever tried to eat one of them Today Goldie snatched a shrimp pellet right out of his claw, and he all he did was go looking for another one. They're curious, and Zoidberg likes to crawl around a lot. I can see that his curiosity might lead to an untimely demise if he could crawl out of the tank, but I dont think that is possible. If he really tried, he could climb up the filter thing, but he's content as long as I rearrange the tank a little each day. He spends his time moving the gravel, piece by piece, to exactly where he wants it.

He has been underwater for months now and has not drowned. I wouldnt worry about it. Unless he's sneaking out at night and somehow climing back in, he hasnt had a breath of fresh air yet.

He's a funny little pet. If you want any more info, feel free to ask.

I checked your website, and it is a blue lobster? Are crayfishs and blue lobsters the same?
 
blue crayfish, hands down. I recently got one and put it in my 29 and hes loving it. molted second day. lots of action out of him. I feed mine shrimp pellets, algae pellets, beef heart, brine shrimp, blood worms... just about whatever i have. good luck with the project

Cool ... I checked your pics and it looks like the water level is full? '

Right now I have 2 10 gallon tanks. One tank has 6 goldfishs, 3 ghost shrimp, 1 gold mystery snail, and 1 red claw crab. (Yeah, now I know that RCC are suppposed to have air now). So if I add a blue crayfish, it looks like they should all get along?

The other 10 gallon tank is for a red claw crab. I am probably going to get it at an aquarium store here. The only thing I remember is that they were Australian crabs and I think they are red claw crabs. Not sure though. It does have about a 5" water line.

We aren't supposed to get the animals till after winter break, but I am going to test the two and see which one is the easiest and last the longest.
 
yeah your right, the water level is full. now that you mention it, i think a 10g will be a little small for a blue crayfish, most get at least 5inches. So, i think the crab will be your best bet. So your saying you already have a crab in one of your 10s? why dont you just move that one into the other 10? Also, if taken care of properly, both crab and crayfish should live much longer than September (except for freak molting accidents)

one last statement: im pretty sure the crab you already have would require warm, tropical water (most likely, im not sure what species you have.) but your goldfish like coldwater (and can easily outgrow a 10g.) just something to think about
 
The crayfish will be the only one in a 10 gallon tank at school though. Would that still be ok or does it need like a 20 gallon tank?
