Here is one of my long fin blue rams. You can't see the blue jewels at this angle, but I think the difference is still pretty obvious.

Emg, everytime I see that picture I determine that I must buy a pair of these fish. In your experience are they okay with something like schools of small tetras?Emg said:Here's a pic of my male blue ram. Very pretty fish, I like these alot !

Zman....my ram fry are still thriving nicely! About 4 weeks old now. Some of them display a black flag..(that's what I call the front edge of the dorsel)..and black mask while feeding...pretty cool ! Could they be the males, or just the stronger healthier fry ?
I have 4 in a 20 gallon with only cardinals and Otos and they never harm or chase them.Harlock said:Emg, everytime I see that picture I determine that I must buy a pair of these fish. In your experience are they okay with something like schools of small tetras?
Hey, I'll take any opinions from anyone who owns them. I've been considering "show fish" for a big planted community tank full of small schooling fish.TrickyD119 said:I have 4 in a 20 gallon with only cardinals and Otos and they never harm or chase them.
My pair in my 29 are fairly aggressive with the 2 Bolivian Rams and occasionally my Cory when they get in there way, but they never seem to mess with my 10 Harlequin Rasbora. They never actually nip though, it is just a quick chase.
They are by far the best looking fish I’ve ever owned. Just throwing out another opinion out there for you to go along with whatever EMS offers as well.
