Blue's 80 Gallon Mbuna Tank

Just an update!

Been doing some restocking and moving fish around. I remove my 4 cobalts and my 5 white top haras.
I added 3 white tail acei and 1 small male afra.
My smaller male maigano killed the larger male and the weakest female is missing. I believe he may be involved in this one as well but I have not found a body. Usually this would be reason for eviction but he has settled down A LOT since it's just him and the 1 female. Both are out and about way more.

So current stocking

1m:1f yellow tail acei
2m:1f white tail acei
2m:2f:1juv Msobo
1m afra
2juv snow whites
1m:1f Maingano
1 red tail shark
4 Syno petricola

Now that I removed the cobalts and white top haras the fish have been way more skittish. I have 2 more maingano and 3 more afras growing out to add to the group. Hopefully they will be less skittish once more fish are added.

they dont trust u after pulling out all their friends, lol...

Blue, where are you getting the Syno petricola? That is the last fish I wanted to finish off my 55 and haven't found them?

Sorry to hear about all the trouble you went through, no fun!! Sounds like you got it all on track now can't wait for pics!!!

I got all of mine from the guy in Evansville off the WI forum. I think they were $4-$5 dollars each. They are small though and take a while to grow.
Cool, THANKS!!! Sounds like I better get busy joining that site and get a hold of him!

We always seem to be doing similar things. Your fish are sick, my fish are sick, I arrange my stock, you rearrange your stock, are you my long lost sister??

I love this tank, glad things are settling down & I want more pictures! :D

Hmmm perhaps we were separated at birth.

I was hoping to get pictures today because my new afra has finally felt comfortable enough to color up. But my light crapped out on me again and I think this is the final time. I saw you were also in the market for a new light, DUN DUN DUUUUUN!!!

So the new afras:
I'm not entirely certain about the location point on these guys which makes me sad. The guy thought they were jalo reefs but could not be sure. They have been passed around the club a few times and the location has been lost. They are pure as far as I know though. He got a pair and only keeps them with their own type. Just not sure on the location. Hopefully I can get pictures soon to clear it up a bit.

Here are a few pictures I took not that long ago.

This is the new afra. He has colored up a lot since I took this picture. I know you can't tell much from the photo though.

Wow, that's one gorgeous tank! Your pictures are awesome too. I hope to get better with practice, and getting a tripod would probably help.
