BN pleco babies

Very cute! PM me if/when you are selling the babies. I am finding a very big soft spot in my heart for catfish! :hearts:

i'm like noodles when you get ready to sell let me know too

Here is a update for those of you interested. Since Oct. I had another spawn with a additional 20 or so. They are all doing fine and growning like weeds.

Look at the fat little tummies!!! :hearts:

Good work! They look terrific!

Another spawn of 25, or so was moved on new years day. Here is a picture of the grown out tank now. It's getting a little crowded.
The oldest are just over a inch and ready for new homes, but it's to cold here in the northeast for me to feel comfterable shipping, so some are going to the LFS.

For those of you interested in purchasing, my best guess is a couple of more months before the weather breaks.

Beautiful!

May I ask you what you feed them, how often, the grow out tank size and your water change schedule? Also, your water hardness and pH if you know it off the top of your head?

I also have BNs that spawn regularly but mine are not growing as fast. I recently made some dietary changes and have seen a difference in the little ones, but there is no substitute for first hand info.

Hi Turbo:

I have been following your thread, and think yours seem right on schedule. I feed them the same as the parents, a variety of foods from shrimp pellets, algae wafers, sinking pellets, and once a week a fresh vegatable. Blanched peas, cucumber, squash, spinach, or carrots. It takes a couple of feedings for the youngest to recognize the fresh vegatables as food. They get feed once a day every morning. The tank currently houses three spawns, with a total of about 75 ish!!!

The tank is a 10g, as you can see plently of plants, and the front glass was covered with algae. I do water changes every week, never more than 30%. I'm not sure about the hardness, but it's on the soft side. Ph is 7.4, temp is 75. Again same as the parents tank.
