Hey guys,

First id like to say hello, this is my first post on this Forum, But i have thousands of posts on many other forums for all different kinds of hobbies, including motorcycles (gsxr.com), mustangs(mustangfourm.com), body building (wannabebig.com) and computers (Overclock.net). Im glad i have finally found what looks like to be a very active Aquarium forum! I have been Keeping freshwater aquariums most of my life, im 22 now.

Now onto my question! I just set up a 120 gallon tank for my Mom, she has always wanted an Oscar tank, I found a good deal on a tank, stand and sump on craigslist. I have never kept Oscars before, and since ive been keeping them I learned that they are very messy eaters, and i am vacuuming the tank probably 5 times a month. I got a Red Tail Catfish thinking he would be good at eating what makes it to the bottom, but he didnt seem to have any interest in anything that made it to the bottom and i was having to target feed him, also after i got the Red tail, i did more research and learned i didnt have a large enough tank to keep one and since he wasnt making my life easier, i returned him to the Fish Store.

So my question is, what would be a good bottom feeder, that wont out grow my tank and that will do a good job of eating the food that makes it to the bottom.

Thanks!

for those that are interested, heres my tank:

I have a regular tiger Oscar and an albino tiger Oscar and a 8" Pleco in there right now.

heres a video showing the LED hood lights i made from scratch and the overall tank. Obiviously this is before i put the drift wood in to lower the PH, and since that video i had custom glass panels made for the top. Ive also added a power head on the opposite side of the return from the sump to increase water flow.

blood worms, freeze dried krill, Oscar pellets, crickets, cooked chicken as a treat. The albino Oscar likes vegetables such as peas, carrots and cucumber, but the black Oscar wont have anything to do with pellets or vegetables. Hes much pickier than the albino, she will eat anything i put in the tank.
