In the last 2 years I have become absolutely addicted to UFC, have to disagree with anyone who says its more boring now... I think if anything its getting more exciting with the stacked 155 lb and 170 lb divisions. What I dont like about UFC is Dana Whites hesitation to bring more of the Pride fighters from Japan over to the UFC for a few fights.
It seems like the wrestling is just the tactic many of these guys use to take down their opponents so that they can try submissions which to me is one of the most exciting things about MMA. Wresting just seems like the staple that fighters use to get a dominant position on the ground in order to try to submit the guy. Guys like Matt hughes do however rely more on wrestling skills in order to "ground and pound."
Im with you guys though in that i like to see UFC fighters exchange punches standing. Nothing like seeing guys like George St. Pierre who are experts at everything, he proved he is the future of the sport.
Oh yea, and K1 is pretty badass, i just dont get to see it enough.
