Brand new tank... What fish to get?

I just set up a new 20 gallon that has been running for over a month now and I cannot decide what fish to put in it!
I want simple but colorful fish
the tank has all white sand so bright would look the best...
But I want kind of small fish so I can have more than 2 in there..

Any suggestions? :confused:

Really active fish are danios and would do well in a 20 I think. You could also do something like 6 danios and 6 tetras (pick one) and maybe even 3 corys. Maybe I'm overstocking you though.

I just know I have some danios (zebra and 3 glofish- which are actually zebras)) and they are fun!
 
either medium sized fish OR I was looking into getting small fish, breeding them in the 20 and keeping the fry..

Just not guppies/mollies I want to move on to something a little more interesting
 
i would get peradise gourami. i used to have 4 two males and two females, they were great. they used to nibble my fingers and also would flair their fins and gills in display. the male has a long tail and they are bubble nesters (kind of cool). anyways something to think about, good luck.

How about threadfin rainbowfish (Iriatherina werneri)?:) I realized though they're not colorful but are entertaining to watch.;)
