I have three relatively small BNs who have got along fine in the past. I wanted to wait for them to get accustomed to the tank before I began feeding them cucumber and zucchini, also so the other fish wouldn't be shocked by the intrusion.
I placed two small slices of zucchini near the 'cave' where they hang out and they all took to it very well but one of them (I think it's a male) fends off the other two from getting their fair share. He does so quite aggresively with his dorsal fin raised, he chases them well off before returning to it, I don't want any serious aggression in a previously peaceful tank.
This is probably a stupid question, but what should I do? I ask because it's the only place I can put the zucchini without it floating back up to the surface (just slightly wedged under a piece of pot-plant)
How do I go about this?
