Hi i have a Gold Fish and 1 male guppie and 2 female guppies.

1. Can i feed the guppies gold fish food
2. What kind of stuff should i put in the aquarium for them for the type of fish i have, example: coral, toys , what?
3. Is a 10gal tank big enough for a goldie and 3 guppies?
4. I have a pregnant fish that is really fat and dont know when it will have babies. How can I tell?
5. Do guppies lay eggs or baby fish?

Thanks

Guppies are called livebearers -- they give birth to live young. I have read that you can tell when they are about to give birth by the shape of their bodies but I have never been able to tell with my females. I think the 10 gallon may be too small simply because you are going to have a ton of guppies soon and I think goldfish outgrow small tanks rather quickly but I am sure someone more knowledgeable will be along shortly!! :)

1. Can i feed the guppies gold fish food
Yes, but be sure to give them some other sorts of food. Goldfish is designed for goldfish, and is missing the stuff that guppies need.

2. What kind of stuff should i put in the aquarium for them for the type of fish i have, example: coral, toys , what?
Is that real or fakecoral? Other things include driftwood, rocks, etc..

3. Is a 10gal tank big enough for a goldie and 3 guppies?

No. Any goldfish needs a 55g tank. They can grow up yo 1 foot long. The guppies will be fine in a 10g.

4. I have a pregnant fish that is really fat and dont know when it will have babies. How can I tell?

Most fish will have a graifes(sp, im brain dead today) which is a dark black spot on a fishes belly. If you can see this, chances are its pregent.

5. Do guppies lay eggs or baby fish?
They give birth to live baby fish.

You could get away with a 20g for the goldfish, the bigger the better, but 20g should be the minimum

I know its pregnant, i asked when and how do i know when it will have the babies

Guppies tend to have fry with in 21-28 days, they will look swollen before giving birth but there is no magical way of telling when the magic moment happens.
Also there are a few major differences in keeping the Guppies and gold fish.

1. Goldfish are messy fish, the produce more waste than your guppies, water changes in that size of a tank will be twice a week.

2. Guppies are tropical fish, Goldfish are not. The cooler the water the more Oxygen it contians. Good fish need to be kept in cooler water.

Please check out a few of these sites and it should help you.
Also I recommend picking a few books on Guppies and Livebearers.

WOW. Goldfish and guppies in same tank!!!.. Just do what Tricksterpup told you and separate the golf fish and the guppies. Leave the guppies in the 10g and get a bigger one for the goldfish. Good luck with pregno.
