Hello there! I'm getting a couple red claw crabs in a few days, so I've been building a vivarium for them and I only have just a question or two
First, I have a 10 gallon tank, and I got myself a piece of plexiglass to seperate the water and sand areas. I got GE 100% silicone (30 minute rain ready- for outdoor use) It says on the back not to use in aquariums, but I'm not finding any answers about if this is safe to use in what i'm building. I understand the aquarium warning is for liability purposes. It is literally just a piece of plexiglass to seperate the two areas. Just to be safe, my husband sealed the plexiglass on the side where the sand will be- making water contact minimal. Will this be OK, or kill my crabbies?? I REALLY don't want to strip the caulking and redo it!!
Also, does anyone have any tips or tricks for making my crabbies happy?? The tank will be about 60% land, brackish water about 4-5 inches deep. I will be putting guppies in the water half, and also have river shrimp and frozen food for them.
