A couple of weeks ago, My brother brought home an Oscar (he is about 3 to 4 inches long including the tail) from his father's house that was being bullied by the other Oscars! He was pretty banged up. I told his father that they can't be together
The only thing I had was a 2 gallon tote and my box filter and 10 gallon Tetra whisper air pump.
So I seeded the box filter with some biomax from my AquaClear filter and added extra new biomax.
He has gotten better but today I found him on the floor. It was a 4 foot drop to the floor. I don't know how long he was there, it happen while we were sleeping.
I picked him up and put him back in the tote. A couple of minutes later I was about to go and throw him out along with the water in the tote.
But HE MOVED A LITTLE!:what:
So I rushed to the kitchen change the water, added prime and some meds (melafix and pimafix).
Now he is no longer lying flat on his side. He is upright
What do I continue to do? It looks like one eye is bad (on the side that was expose fully to the air on the floor). Looks a little cloudy. Also when viewed from above it dies not look orange (normal color) like the other eye.
Please help!
My brother is planning to buy a 75 gallon tank in a few months.
