Buying a new tank?

Don't forget to let the silicone dry for 48 to 72 hours.

yea i am going to get the glass tomorrow assemble it tomorrow night it will see water Monday night.

Also be sure to use the right silicone. I always play it safe and get the stuff made for aquariums but some use the stuff you can buy at Home Depot. Whatever you use, it should be 100% silicone with no mold/bacteria prohibitors.

sorry to keep telling you what do to. I'll stop now :).

no man its my first saltwater aquarium so i appreciate it. to you might seem like a trivial detail but truth is a month ago i knew zip about saltwater other then you had to add salt lol...

Okay got the sump designed.. skimmer section used capacity 9.27 gal return section used capacity 4.88 gal refugium section used capacity 23.2 gal .. skimmer will be on a 2.5 inch platform with water level at 12.75in.. return section water level will be at 11.75 in.. and refugium section water level at 16.25.. I am leaving the tall baffle 2'' from the top so the entire rest of the tank can act as a overflow if things go bad. ill try to draw something tomorrow If this is confusing... it will go skimmer ---> return <--- refugium the return will feed the refugium.

interior of tank is 47.5inches so the chamber lengths will be [14in skimmer][2.75in baffles][8in return][2.75in baffles][20in refugium] screwed up the gallon's on the refugium its not 23.3 is 16.88

Sounds like a good, well planned layout. Make sure you have enough room in the skimmer section for all drain pipes + filter sock + skimmer to fit comfortably as this is the part of the sump you will access most often.

plumbing finished last night. the ball value is to control the return pump flow to the refugium. the down pipes are not glued it so i can remove them. glass is getting cut right now that will be in place after work.
