I got the stand for the protein skimmer built unfortunately my tank is 5/16 glass not 1/4 WTF????? so none of my glass i ordered fits.... going to reorder the panels 11 13/16

Protein skimmer showed up yesterday talk about a huge box... oh well ball pit for the kid! also got the sump finished. nitrate and nitrite levels are almost zero and amonia is very very low so no spikes as of yet. but the coral is definitly going crazy! the live rock looks very dirty and the base rock is starting to turn.

sump tank is full and running now.. the little rio1700 is defiantly underpowered but will work for the time being until the back order clears... the skimmer keeps filling the top with water and its on the lowest setting so I might have to raise the skimmer more somehow... I also cut longer tubes for the drain pipes so they are 1/4in below the surface of the water now the tank is darn near silent except a power head that's rattling since its going bad....

Can make your own though.

I would let it break in for for a few days though before trying to adjust the height.

so late yesterday the skimmer filled the collection cup again with water i emptyed it and the bubbles where only making it about halfway up. Wake up this morning and the collection cup has about 1/4 inch of brown water so its starting to pull stuff! bubbles are back to about a inch below the collection cup.
