Can anyone identify this fish??

Hi I recently adopted this fish as a friend wanted rid of it, all I know is it is tropical and living with my other fish just fine, any breed name would be a big help, thanks

Sewellia lineolata, the Hillstream Loach. They like cool, fast-moving water but can live in most freshwater community set-ups. I have several in a 125 gallon with other hillstream species and gobies. My s. lineolatas have spawned numerous times and I have several generations in the tank. They will nom green or red algae, along with Repashy soilent green, frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp and algae wafers. They come from clear-water streams in southeast asia.

Hillstream loaches are awesome! I absolutely adore them. I don't know why your friend would even want to give one up, but it means you get a pretty neat little addition to your tank =]
