can i have mollies?

i think mollies are brackish fish.....don't think they would do well long term in full salt water..
molly's can be acclimatised to live in a saltwater tank, however, the question has to be, why would you want them in there? Personaly, i dont agree with moving a FW fish over to salt, but, thats just me...

I've read some say they are great algae eaters but they haven't been something I've wanted to try to switch over.
I know someone has but don't remember who. Do an advanced search for mollies in the Marine forums only.
I wanted to do something similar a w/ guppys, I was going to make them full salt I guess I still havent had enought intrest to actually go ahead and do it.
i haven't had mollies in sw but know that they can be acclimated to full salt. but as niko said they are not the best tankmates for most sw fish as they so passive...

Yes, I have experienced keeping them there for two years before I quitted SW. I intended to feed my black mollies to lionfish but somehow they managed to evade the lionfish and had thrived there until the day I quitted saltwater.:lipssealedsmilie:

Mollies do eat a lot of algae including hair algae which is why most of us freshwater enthusiasts tend to give them green matter.:grinyes:
