hi there, new at this. have a 6g with a male betta and 5 glofish. they are happy. now inherited a 20 g with one catfish and one odessa barb. Can they all live happily ever after together?
:help:

You'd need to add 3-5 barbs more to the barb for a shoal to make it truly happy.

And I think if we knew what kind of catfish it was we'd be able to help you more.:)

i think the catfish is an otocinclus. she/he is black with white striped around the body all the way down and lives under some rocks during the day. i think he/she is still stressed from the move 2 weeks ago.

the 20g tank is long.

the odessa looks happy. i fed her some different food and now she goes nuts for the food b/c she/he actuall catches the food. as does the catfish, he/she comes out when in feed the barb.

so can those two live w my happy betta and his harem of 5 pink glofish?
THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH for writing me.

what does IMO mean?

on second thought the looking at the guide book, the catfish looks like the tanaganyikan dwarf bagrid. black body with white wide stripes around the bod. and a tail with black and white flecks. he keeps to himself.

the tank and the 2 fish were a gift from a friend who was moving. the tank has a large leafy plant that every once in while hte catfish hides out in during the day.

thank again.

yup thanks for the pix. He/she is definitely the pseudomystus siamensis bagridae. all the details down to the tail.

You should be fine if you add 3 more barbs to the shoal.
