Can SW tank overflows be Mod into FW sub filters?

the gurgling sound can be reduced with the use of a standpipe.

The first one would have me nervous.

The second one just quiets the flow into the overflow. The noise I was thinking of is the one where the water comes down through the tube splashing/gurgeling into the filter/sump.

Whatsa QFT?
I'd be in trouble if I repeated the only couple I thought of. lol

See my new buyer beware thread and please provide me some possible short solutions. I'm afraid I have even more work them I thought.

Uht ohh? Guessing it leaks. :(

I never really concluded this thread but as you know my bottom glass was ordered without plumbing as the removed overflows will add 10% swimming space. Since the tank is 225 and I like over filtration besides the FX5 I have decided I will also be adding Toms pro series PS3, becasue of all the positive research found on FW sump usage and the price which is 1/3 the price of other comparable capacity systems kits. Hopefully I will get the best of both worlds between the FX5 and Pro3.
