In 2 weeks I am going to give the rest of my agressive fish away. I would love to have 3 levels of fish who are fun to watch and who get along with each other...

I really want top, middle and bottom fish this time. I love cories, and want the bigger ones

How about loaches?

And how about the top and midle of the tank?

Can you help me add fun, happy go lucky fish? I do not want fin nippers, nothing to small, ( will have a tank fully of guppy and platy already in my 29)
and I do love the look of kribs, but not sure they are ok . oh and I have a small bolivian ram, can she/he stay in there?

for top fish try hatchets i love the marbled but they are harder to find. For the middle maybe a nice schooling fish like some larger tetra's. Loaches are cool but dont get clown's I love mine and they grow slow but i will eventualy have to move them out of my 55.

I've grown very attached to my Festivum Cichlid. Great personality, no aggresion, hand feeds, etc. Should be fine with the Bolivian. I'd choose either Cories OR loaches. I have one tank with both and they compete quite a bit. The best "Top" fish are hatchets or Killis.

The less nippy barbs are good Odessa, gold, black ruby. I don't think kribs are too bad. what I usually do is go to the LFS and see what they have and write down what i like then research online or in some books. then go back and get what works. Maybe melon barbs they get up to 6" so not sure for the 55g.

greenfire tetra's, get a big school. I love mine, they are a mostly a mid/top dwelling tetra and are extremely lively and active. lots of playful chasing around the tank, and very nice looking, also pretty hardy.

When in doubt, you can't go wrong with Rummies if you want a school.

I agree with Haytch. lol

If you are considering loaches, then you should really plan the tank around them.

exactly. I am trying to find them first. I love loache's, there so fun to watch. I never dreamed I could have any because of there size, but now that I found out there are smaller ones, that made my day!

Which loaches specifically are you thinking about keeping?
