Canister filter recommendations for a goldfish tank

Did I mention it comes stock with a spray bar attachment? ;)

Thanks again for all the info! I think I have found a filter, generously offered to me by a fellow AC family member. I did some research and I think it is gonna work out just great, so it was a real lifesaver for me.

Fluval 304 if I remember correctly.

... I do not use gravel. So, would that still apply?

Nope, can't use'm with sand.
I didn't even think about sand.
I didn't think we'd want to use sand with goldfish, because of them swallowing it and stuff?

Those are awsome. lol :)

very pretty fish rod!!!

might i recommend that you build your own filter, they are loads of fun to make and customize!

In all honesty, I have never had a problem with using sand. I have a coarse white sand in my moor tank, and they do pick through it, but they spit it out. In my experience gravel is a lot more likely to cause impactions. if a few grains of sand get swallowed, they pass through. Same concept as using sand for my Axolotls :)

i have an odessa/ jebo,, canister for over 100g had it for over 2 years and its a great filter,.. no problems just fill it with water before plugging it in,, instead of trying to prime it,.. works better that way,..
it came with a spray bar,.. great filter great price,.. hoses ae a bit longer and will kink if not set right,.. but i didn't want to cut them as i didn't know if it was staying on that tank,. so i just adjust them when i put them under the tanks,.. and make sure its ok,.. then i forget it till i clean it again,.. great,..

Great! There was a 200g one on Ebay for under $100, so I will keep that in mind if I ever need anything else.

I am probably going to DIY a spraybar for the FLuval, I want it to go the full length of the back of the tank to disperse the flow as much as possible.

Next project is to start building a custom hood...
