i need a good filter for my 6ft tank(my old one has broken) i was thinking of a via aqua 750 but i wanted to see some other opinions

On my 6' 125g I have one Eheim 2217, one fluval 304, one fluval 404 and two AC 500's. I like a lot of filtration.
Seems like a big waste of space and electricity.....but "whatever floats your boat...."
Two large HOB filters and a large, quality canister, or two canisters and a large HOB filter are plenty enough to heavily filter a 6' tank!

It is not possible to say that a certain arrangement of filters is too much or just right or not enough with a lot more information , and personal preferences are part of that.
I use lots of filtration also, separate bio and mech, and have no diplay tanks with less than two, most three or more filters. I also use no HOBs as I demand silence from support equipment, which lets out HOBs.

RTR makes a good point (as always). What kind of fish are you keeping in your tank? The amount of bioload you are trying to support will in part determine your filtration choices.
Also, you are in Australia. Different manufacturers' products are more or less cost effective in different parts of the world, depending on their international distribution setup. So the relative cost of different product lines in your area could also affect the ultimate answer to your question.

im going to be keeping what i have in my 4ft they are

yes i believe personal pref is key to this decission, bot of my 6ft tanks have 2 fluval 404, no carbon just media and argonite in the baskets, and 2 ac500, with 2 sponges, if i need carbon, i just replace 1 sponge for awhile with carbon. lots of filtration but i have very expensive fish. ive heard nothing but good review on the eheim filters also,

i am a fluval person myself but i think that all ehiems are superior to any other cinister filter out there. i have a fluval 304 on each of my 55g adn they are good but i am thinking about upgradiung to ehiems.
