Catfish in 46 gal......overstocked?

You know it will get lonely in there. You might need another and then you're WAAAYYY overstoking that tank. I recommend investing in a 55g.

I don't see a filter on your tank and most importantly, you have no water in the tank. I think if you filled your tank to 1" from the top, your problems will disappear. Keep us updated.

I'm surprised yours won't take flake food. Try something that's smellier. Mine likes smelly flake food - she goes wild for it and none of the other fish get to eat : )

I agree, if it starts to make alot of noise you haven't filled the tank high enough

it needs some hiding places. try getting it some driftwood kitty furniture or something.

I know it sounds odd, but try canned cat food. all of these guys I have even seen go nuts for it.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Won't that foul up the water? :)

nah, they alweays eat it so fast it doesn't get a chance to.

Or, you could get a couple of small young'uns to cruise the botton for missed morsels.

Directions for keeping catfish:

Minimum tank size: 400 gallons per catfish adult, 150 gallons per juvenile.
Feeding: Carnivore. Feed dead fish, canned cat food, and dry cat food.
Siphon tank every day after feedings. Do not use gravel. It makes too much of a mess. Use litter. Water Temp: Uh, don't add water... Temperment: Aggressive towards other fish, but can live with other catfish. Will eat other fish.

As far as I'm concerned, you're WAAAAAAAY overstocked.

Hahahahaha!
