I think maybe thats what they did, I can't blame them though. I was also concerned about the width, 6' is not much in a tank that size.
 
In the end you would have spent alot of money on what would have been a series of compromises. Now you can do it your way.
 
Ash... didn't you have to have your house built around the tank you allready have? What the heck would you do with one 5 times as big???

Ahh.. But you see my young apprentice, I have left a space for a tank that big to be built at a later date. Planning my friend ,planning. ;)

dont worry according to my calculations its only 9720 gallons anyways. and thats only if measured from inside. if that was measured from the outside with the thickness of the acrylic it would be much less.
 
The front acrylic is 4" thick. It is 270g too small! ;)
