Are you crazy! Thats overstocking it!

theres these guys in town that built a huge tank and got it shipped to japan a few years ago, but i agree it will be better to just built on there.

Ya, if you haven't seen pictures of Ash's tank you're not paying attention. I saved 'em and sent 'em to my wife to try and butter her up for next time I want to buy a tank :)

Ashdavid, that is by far one of the most amazing tanks I have ever seen.

It is set up perfect!

Good lord, come to Texas for a week and help me design my 75 gallon, will you?

P.S. Bring some driftwood. I can't find any good pieces. ;)

What was the address?LOL :soda: :D

WOW!!! I would love to have that tank, but not the divorce that comes with it!! The bar is pretty cool as well.

Ash,

If and when you do drop a 5k plus tank in your house, I think that would be a project worthy of a PBS documentary. Obviously shooting it in Japan over the year it would take to complete would be challenging, and I am sure other networks would consider the project.

Also, all the aquarium books available deal in the setup and maintenance of tanks less than 100 gallons. What you and some others here are doing is a different animal. Same concepts, but dramatically different planning, execution and technology. Ever considered writing an aquarium book on "Big *** Tanks". I think the 200 gallon plus crowd is a growing population and would benefit from your knowledge and experience.

You can get an above ground pool that is 10-12,000 gals for $2000 or less, often wtih free shipping if there isn't a store near you. Takes about 6 hours to put together, assuming you remembered to charge your electric drill and prep the area first.

I keep threatening the wife about it every time ours gets a little green...
