It's been 24 hours since I added 6 multies and a small ancistrus to a cycled tank.

Ammonia 0
Nitrites 0
Nitrates < 5

How many days should I check before I can assume the biofilter absorbed the load with no probs?

The tank is planted with java fern, moss, guppy grass.

If you did a fishless cycle then you will probably never notice any change ...since the good bacteria that was in it after the cycle was probably enough to handle a pretty good bioload of fish.

If you are concerned any...just test it every few days and then again before you start your weekly water changes to see how the water levels are doing.

Thanks. :)

That's most of the tank, but I'll have the bf try to help take some pics this weekend. He's the shutterbug.

Some people told me the fishies looked a little thin, so I'll also try to fatten them up a little.

i would test everyday for 3 or 4 days , ammonia levels can sometimes take a couple of days to rise , when you do a fishy cycle it can take a week before any ammonia shows up at all .
