All you mentioned except the Jewel are African Cichlids, not a good idea. Stick to the South or Central Americans.

Jewels are African cichlids, but they aren't from the Rift lakes. They are an African riverine species. All you mentioned except the Jewel are African Cichlids, not a good idea. Stick to the South or Central Americans.

Jewels can be really nasty if they pair up, so I would avoid them.are the Jewels still a bad idea? I'll look into kribs when I go to my really nice fish store.
What did you get?? Kribs, Jewels, ro Rams?? One of my "Guy" friends have the "Blue Jewels" and they are in a tank of tetras, and he says they are peaceful. They are about 4" long.I'll keep an eye out for that. I threw a few extra pellets their way, because they are still hiding when I come near the tank, and they found them and are eating them.
