I'm currently looking into places to get CO2 tanks refilled, probably sized between 5 and 25 lbs.

The 2 local options I've explored have been more expensive than I expected, and one of those doesn't weigh the tank for filling purposes, just connects the big cylinder to the little cylinder and lets the gases come to an equal pressure.

So, for comparison purposes, what do you pay for refills? How's about Hydrotesting, and do you actually get all the gas that you pay for (Have you tried weighing your tank when full or empty?)

If anyone can recommend anywhere within Northeast or Eastern PA, or Northern NJ, that would be awesome too.

thanks.!

I pay $25 for a 5 lb refill at a local full service liquor store. They do not test it nor weigh it. But knock on wood, so far it comes back heavy and fully pressurized. Probably not the cheapest, but very close and convenient for me. That's for the near Northern suburbs of Chicago. Can't help much with PA, but it gives you an idea.

Getting mine filled today, 7 lb. tank, for $.30 an ounce. Itll be like $33 I believe. It is at a paintball place, they said they can fill it so I hope atleast otherwise itll be a longer drive!

I always took mine to a welding supply store that weighed the bottle before and after.

I'm sure I replied... apparently not.

I did search, and couldn't come up with anything terribly useful, and most information was several years outdated.

I think I paid $25 for a 5# exchange, and variable rates at the beer distributor that doesn't seem to refill a uniform amount. Figured I'd try to get some feedback before trying to refill anything larger just in case there were better options locally.

AIR GAS will sell it to you
