Coler's stopping smoking thread

You can do it Coler!

(i just wish i could say the same for myself, lol, but for now the sanity sticks remain)

ok coler here is my i have had it quit story

14 years ago I had gotten totally frustrated with smoking 2 packs(50)/day. I looked at the amount of money I was literally putting up in smoke and crushed the last half pack, only to be in the garbage trying to get at least a smoke out of what I just obliterated.

well the next day with the help of a friend and a few other things I got set free from the habit and have not smoked a cigarette since. I have had a couple of cigars for new years etc.... but not a cigarette

and I dont regret it at all and did not put on any weight either

GO COLER GO

Nice one chef - well done (I have teetered over that line myself in the past lol) and thanks for the tale.

We are all rooting for you Coler! :thm:

Your skin will look much better too. Think about the older people you may know who smoke and think about what their wrinkled grey skin looks like... nasty.

my daughter died feb 5th she died of lung cancer 43 years old she was a smoker losing a child is hard

My grandpa died about a year ago from small cell lung cancer and I lived with my grandparents through most of it. Not a pretty way to go, the excessive weightloss, the the complications from chemo, the multilpe-times-a-day pill cocktails trying to make it work, being bedridden for the last months of your life watching your family go through the agony of watching you die knowing you only have yourself to blame for their and your own pain through-out the process.... Do yourself a favor and stop.
