Feed every other day half of what you are feeding it willl make a differance By the way nice tank setup. You have small fish in that tank so your nittrate will solve itself after feeding every other day

I fed a whole cube of frozen bloodworms. The gambusia are voracious, plus the BNs and ghost shrimp eat anything that makes it to the bottom. I fed 4 shrimp pellets to the ghost shrimp because I had added about 12 more ghost shrimp. My male BN grabbed a shrimp pellet, and the gambusia went after the others too, so the pellets got broken up and dissolved into the water column. I should have tested before feeding.

I don't feed frozen foods every night anymore, maybe every 3 to 4 days, but I do feed crisps or mini pellets daily.
