Thanks for the replies pbmax.

I don't mind the different colors interbreeding and if there are babies (which is not my aim in keeping these) I will feed them to my predators. I know some people people will ask WTF but in Taiwan the animal trade works a lot differently than other places. No one besides licensed dealers may buy or sell live animals, you may only give them away and 99% of LFS will not even give you store credit. So free food is better for me.

As for the plants, I do not really want tall stalk plants or bushy plants but thanks for the suggestions. I want to keep it more mossy with creeper like plants added. Hope that makes sense. I am thinking of going somehting like Mellowvision's "paludarium experiment" but completely submerged.

Will fish be safe with the CPO's?

The only creeper plants I'm aware of require high light.

Fish should be safe with CPOs, but some can be aggressive....

I was thinking of moss like weeping moss, java moss, Japanese moss balls, Christmas moss and perhaps even flame moss. I want predominantly moss cover and a few plants to break the "flatness" for lack of a better word and add depth to the aquascaping.

As for fish I was thinking along the lines of some killi fish or odessa barbs. I rearlly love Galaxy Rasbora - Celestichthys margaritatus. Perhaps even a small school of pencil fish.

Mosses are indeed appropriate.

I have some CPDs (galaxy rasboras) in one of my invert tanks; they seemed happy when I had dwarf cajuns in there with them. Now it's just them, a ton of plants, and malawa and Neocaridina Z. shrimp. They're fantastic little fish. :)

Good luck!

Thanks again pbmax. You have really been a great help in this.

it is my personal belief that every tank requires a ball of marimo.... so a definite yes to that lol

I am starting to really like the look of them. What is care like for them?

I've had mine for only a month and really like it. A little shake every water change to clear any debris. With plenty of space it seems to move around it self.

they're the most low-maintenance plant ever lol i just give mine a squeeze or two before i change the water and that forces out all the mucky water inside the ball. my snails and my khulis LOVE them.

i breed white p. clarkii and mine are very mild mannered.

you could keep shrimp with them, youd loose a few, but they repopulate.

as for the fish you need something thats a fast swimmer and no giant fins. guppies are ok, but no bigger fin size. and NO bottom dwelling fish.

i normaly do the guppy or endler /crayfish combo. i keep shrimp saprate, but for different reasons.
