Converting 65 Gallon to planted. Help.

Ya, they are. I got really my parents bought it when I finished university because my common pleco had out grown my 10 gallon. (Didn't know they got so big *blush*) I've learned a lot since then but still learning tons, especially thanks to you guys. As I write this I am attempting to give my new mystery snails and baby (as in less than half an inch) bushy nosed plecos some cucumber. Found out how to prepare it here on the board :)

Biuld your own! I have 2-65s, thats what i did.1 tank has 3 39w t5s the other has 2 and my 38 brackish has1.

I know this is moving really slowly but the sand, Carib Sea: Torpedo Beach, is here. About 100 lbs. And the pressurized CO2 system is here, I just need to go get a paintball cartridge. I ordered the plants tonight. I don't know what I'll be getting yet. I ordered a custom aquascape package but I'm creatively stunted lol.

I'm getting really excited about this project though. I'm hoping to have it all together for our Canadian Thanksgiving. Fingers crossed. Thanks again for all the help and advice you guys have given me!

i'd think the general consensus is going to be either 2 bulbs or a 3 bulb fixture with 2 switches/cords from catalina aquariums. there are 2 bulb fixtures at that size that are cheaper, but not by much. i like my current nova extreme, personally. got it at drs foster and smith with a spare set of bulbs and something little shipped for less than $120 total.

my fault, chris... i got through that spiel and realized that's what you had to have meant.
Im currently using 4X54 watts T5HO over a 100 gallon. Each set of bulbs has their own switch. I leave them on 10 hrs a day with 2.5 hrs break between. Is that too much light for my tank? Im also using pressurized CO2. Sorry for using this post for my own doubt

TIA

Plants

The plants have arrived!!!!
Time to do some major work. :D:D:D:D:D

The plan was to have all the shifting done before the plants got here but clearly that didn't happen.
Most of the fish have been moved to a temporary home while we do the changing of the gravel. Hopefully all will work out well.

Well, finally got it all planted. Now to wait for it to clear up and figure out how to attach the Java moss to the driftwood. Do I attach it as one clump or do I separate it out?

Hopefully tomorrow I can put all the fish back into their new home.
